I continue to be amazed at the dedication, from all over the United Sates, of so many individuals and communities to the Haiti Micah Project. On behalf of our brothers and sisters in Haiti, I want say,thank you.
With your help and support we are making a difference in the lives of God’s children in Mirebalais, Haiti. The creativity and love that sustain this ministry are truly inspiring. I am convinced this ministry springs from and is guided by the Holy Spirit. With your help, we can serve hot meals to 500 children, who have come to depend on this meal for their daily sustenance. We ensure that every child attends school and has access to school supplies and other personal needs. Through our Water Treatment Center, we continue to provide clean drinking water to the children and the community. At the SAES Home, we provide 24-hour care to 27 children, and also open our doors to children in distress and in need of temporary shelter while the Department of Social Services locates a relative willing to care for that child or young person.
We rejoice knowing that we are responding to God’s call to care for the “least of these” in our midst. I give God thanks for each and every person who offers their time, talent and resources to improve the quality of life of God’s children in Mirebalais, Haiti.
Again, I give God thanks for you and your faith community for your continued support. I pray for God’s continued blessings upon you and your family as you continue on your Lenten journey.
