Feb 14 newsletter kids drawingMore and more, the SAES Home, where we are providing 24 hour care to 27 children is becoming a place of refuge for children and young people in distress or separated from loved ones for various reasons. In partnership with the Department of Welfare Services and the local Mayor, we are called upon from time to time to provide short-term care to at-risk children and youth. While space remains an issue for us, we do our best to provide shelter and the most basic necessities to these children and youth while searching for relatives willing to provide them with a safe living environment.

God is working through us both as individuals and communities of faith to bring about God’s justice, hope and healing to some of the most needy children in God’s world.
