What better way to start your July 4th holiday than to take a morning run at the Fast Trak Racing event to benefit Haiti Micah Project. With over 200 runners of all ages, participants enjoyed a path surrounded by the National Park forest, and the sights and sounds of the Great Falls along the Potomac River. Fast Trak Racing is unique in its approach, with a percentage from each event donated to charity based in the Alexandria area.
Proceeds from this event purchased 10,000 acetaminophen tablets for those suffering from the Chikungunya virus at HMP and the Mirebalais community. Also as part of the event, specially made Frisbees with the HMP logo were created and will be shipped for the children in HMP.
