The Power of ONE

The work of the Haiti Micah Project is made possible largely due to the dedication of the local Haitians in Mirebalais and their determination to provide a better future to some of the most vulnerable children in Haiti. We are grateful to the community leaders, who belong to the SAES board and other civic and religious leaders in the community for their support. We have a dedicated staff that goes above and beyond their daily tasks to ensure that the needs of these children, God’s children, are met.

However, the person on the ground in Haiti who provides daily coordination and vision for this ministry is Mrs. Marie Therese Charite, who has made the homeless and vulnerable children of Mirebalais her mission. This is a mission she takes personally as she believes that God provides us with gifts and talents not only for our benefits, but also to help those in need. Mrs. Charite is doing her part responding to her call to help the poor and suffering. It is often said about her that lives out her last name on a daily basis. Indeed, Mrs. Charite embodies the fact that one person can make a difference.
